The final stitches may have come just minutes from the front door of our family gathering for Christmas, but this pillow was completed on time, and that’s all that matters!
This beast was a gift for my niece and nephew at the request of their mom, and I’m happy to report that my niece gave it a big hug and named it Robot Dance. 3 year old nephew was too busy playing with new cars and trucks to be interested, as was my own son- typical 😛

We had a great Christmas with my family, ate too much food and were very spoiled thanks to my parents. I think William’s favourite gift was the red scooter from my sister, her husband and his mother who joined us for the first time this year. At first he could only manage to go backwards, but after a few hours figured out how to propel himself forward. The boys took turns scooting around the basement and it was so cute. William also received a Brio train set from us, which we hope he will enjoy. My husband is going to build him a train table so that we can keep it out and accessible for him. I have seen some cool builds on Pinterest with a hole in the middle for a child to sit in; we think this will be perfect for William.
By far the most excitement for the little boys (and also the big boys) was driving the snowmobiles and four wheeler in the field. Grandpa bought a Kitty-Cat snowmobile for the grandkids and although it was a little much for the boys, my niece had fun driving it around. Next year the boys should be big enough to handle it by themselves. I am already nervous.
It was great to be together; it’s not often we sisters are able to sync our schedules coming from the Toronto area, Montreal and New York to congregate at the family farm near Ottawa, but we made it happen this year at least for a few days and it was worth it. I hope your family Christmas was enjoyable and memorable, and your handmade gifts were a hit!
