Everyone has a unique style for themselves, their children, and their home decor. Mine shies away from cutesy baby and kids prints and instead prefers low key and classic with a touch of imagination. I think this monochromatic quilt captures this well, and I hope William enjoys it as much as I do.
The pictures do the talking, but I think it is evident that I am very pleased with the end result. A monochromatic, restricted colour palette is definitely one of my favourites!
Flanged binding is my preferred method of binding and really adds a nice detail to the finished product. I use the binding ruler and instructions from the Franklin Quilt Company for this method, and it has always resulted in a nice finish. I especially like how the binding is entirely machine sewn, which is important for durability with small children… I machine wash my quilts and hang them to dry.
A pieced back with a little something extra is also a design element I like to incorporate, and this one is especially nice.
Thanks for taking a peek 🙂
